The easier way is to log in on your computer or phone. From your game screen, you can choose the "link accounts" box under the options menu and then pull up a browser, which you can sign in to in order to link to whatever platform you're on. If you haven't, there are a few ways to do so. If you've played Diablo 3 or Overwatch on a console already, there is a pretty good chance you've already done this. To do this, you just need to have a account that is linked to the platform in question. Now Playing: Diablo II: Resurrected - Official Cinematic Trailer How To Enable Diablo 2: Resurrected Cross-Progression You do still have to buy the game separately on all platforms you'll be using.īy clicking 'enter', you agree to GameSpot's This feature was not included in Diablo 3-nor was cross-play-so you could only play on people with the same system as you. This way, if your friend only plays on PlayStation and you prefer PC, you can still temporarily jump to PlayStation in order to play cooperatively with them. Instead, what cross-progression allows you to do is play your character on one platform and then pick up where you left off on another. What Is Diablo 2: Resurrected's Cross-Progression?Ĭross-progression is a feature distinct from cross-play-it doesn't mean you can play with your friend on PC if you are playing on Xbox Series X. But how does Diablo 2: Resurrected cross-progression work? We'll give you the rundown. We do mean "and" rather than "or," as your progress from one system will carry over to another if you follow a few basic steps. And unlike the original PC-exclusive game, you can play this version on a variety of additional systems like PS5 and Switch. Sadly, by this time at 2023 we know Blizzard learned nothing.Diablo 2: Resurrected released earlier this week, and it's likely the first chance many players will have to enjoy Blizzard's masterpiece. combat is mostly unchanged from previous titles and it's all about the numbers and little else. without going into the details and why their additions to the game didn't really work just know you'll essentially be doing the same thing, exact same, over and over. you just do the same things over and over. but as any HC player my Hall of fallen heroes is filled more by HC characters dying to server issues and game balancing issues than any 'real' death and in my opinion this very big issue for HC was never fixed.Īpart from that, it's very clear they didn't think about post campaign gameplay as there is none. I have dipped my toes in from time until a few months after launch when I started playing more and have since sunk a lot of hours into it. it's a combination of poor decisions and ignoring players.Īs a hardcore player I was very dismayed at launch and didn't actually finish or play the game for more than a day at launch due to the numerous issues plaguing it. There's no one glaring reason why Diablo 3 isn't as popular or good as D2 or even remembered as D1. that wasn't the strong suit anyway though it would've been nice to get something more out of this game aside from the lottery hook & sinker. the story was a bit weak and not very interesting but hey. I loved the cinematics Blizzard seems to have nailed those down to perfection. they were iconic and impactful in their day and then comes along D3 which changes the feel and style of the game to some kind of cartoon. When this game came out, I was excited! I loved D1 & D2. What's the point of reviewing this game in the tail-end of 2023? well, just to add my voice to the choir after what seems to be another lesson not learned by Blizzard.
